triclocarban (TCC),a compound wheat
found in wastewater through

        degrade TCC into non-toxic final
        products by inserting the novel
        amidase gene into a chassis, which
        degrades its byproducts.

          

TCC, when exposed to the environment as sludge, 
inhibits plant metabolism and harms endocrine
